More Kelly

This is Kelly's Loft before her Townhouse. It was an old school house she turned into a loft, I love the openness and modern, neutral feel.

Oh Kelly

Want to know the real process of design? Check out one of my favorite designers that I highly respect, Kelly Hoppen. In these 4 videos she goes behind the scene to show you step by step what goes into the construction, design, and completion of her new townhouse. Check out Kelly Bares All. This is why I love design...

H&M Home Sweet Home

Yep, that's right. H&M is soon going to launch a home interior textiles line. Don't get too excited just yet though, orders will only be avaliable through hm.com and postal orders in Swedon, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. In the meantime take a peak at the new line...sort of reminds me of Urban Outfitters.

For more on the hm items check out Apartment Therapy...

I'm backkkk!

Sorry for the long break, the new year has been off to a busy start... but I have quite a few things to blog about soon, so here are some photos to wet the appetite from designer Tori Golub.

Suzanne never disappoints. There is something about her interiors that just feels comfortable, livable, stylish, and not at all pretentious. I love one of her most recent projects recently published in the March issue of Traditional Home.

Happy New Years!

“Roll back the rugs, and turn up the music”

Christmas is here and in full swing. New York City couldn’t be prettier this time of year. The windows are filled with beautiful displays, all the tree’s have been lit, and moods have been lifted after this difficult year. I’m almost done shopping and ready to head back to my hometown of Dallas on Friday. I can’t wait for this much needed break!

The title was the theme of the recently decorated Living Room by Charlotte Moss and team for the Holiday House Showhouse to benefit the Greater New York City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Oh Kelly...

I love Kelly, just as much as the next designer but after her stunt in November’s issue of Domino she broke my trust. I’m sorry but the full on 80’s/70’s look will never and should never come back (at least not to that extent). The hideous faded mountain fabric you selected, I’m really beginning to question your taste. Kelly, really what were you thinking? I would have thought it was just some crazy client with blue eye shadow and too much Botox that you couldn’t turn down, but no, it was your guest house, YOUR guest house. Kelly really, I expected more from you.

At least your beginning to redeem yourself starting with this new beauty you added to the website…

Hall Of Fame Awards

Last night I attended Interior Design Magazine’s annual Hall of Fame Awards at the Waldorf Astoria. Not only did I have a wonderful time, but I was blown away by the winners including Steven Harris, Lucien Rees Roberts, Gwynne Pugh, Lawrence Scarpa, Takashi Sugimoto, and Erwin Hauer.

Each winner was given an introduction by the fabulous Cindy Allen (Editor in Chief), and a video of their history, where they came from and how they got to where they are in their career. Of course I fell in love with residential architect and interior design team, Steven Harris and Lucien Rees Roberts. Below are just a few of their works…

No longer a newlywed...

...but still just as in love. My husband and I are off to Boston this weekend to celebrate our one year anniversary. We have both never been and thought it would be so much fun to take a New England trip in the fall while the leaves are changing. Have a happy weekend!

She was amazing, I highly recommend her!

Yummy

photo from Just Imagine
yummy, except for the diamond wall treatment.

Ochre

I've never been a fan of Scandinavian design but Ochre is quickly changing my mind. This charming store located on Broome Street in SoHo is full of beautiful and elegant finds consisiting of a mix between French antiques found in Europe, Ochre (a color usually described as golden or light yellow), and Scandinavian design.

Wisteria has new products...

I've been wanting to purchase a bust... too bad this one looks a little scary!

I'm a little obsessed...

...with all of Molly Sims' homes, which is making it difficult for me to decide which one I like best. This gorgeous beauty is now up for sale! Maybe I should do what she does, purchase a few homes and decorate them each a different style - then I could have it all! ~ yeah right.

In case you missed it, here are some shots from her NYC apartment recently completed by Fuse-ID. I fell in love with this place months ago. Most of the furnishings were purchased from flea markets in Europe or Ebay, which make me love them even more.

At Last...

Suzanne Kasler's line has finally arrived at Hickory Chair. This is good for two reasons...1. She has beautiful taste and I now have new beautiful furniture to spec for clients and 2. Hickory Chair is reasonably priced which means I can finally start affording a few pieces!! Look at these great pieces, some of them look like they could be from Oly Studio (another favorite of mine!)

My morning crush...

I’m sure many of you, like me, watch Good Morning America while getting ready. There is just something so great about this show, it quickly tells you the basic news you need to know, the weather, and then great “water cooler” topics. But the best thing of all is the cutie Chris Cuomo…his adorable smile and quick whit. In case you missed it Chris, his adorable family, and gorgeously simplistic home were featured in Elle Décor this month.

Look what finally arrived...

Restoration Hardware just launched the new collection of RH Baby & Child. The items are precious, how will new mothers resist?!

Hopefully a round or oval crib is in the works...

These are pretty enough for a living room...
Where was this when I was little. I could have played house in here!!
